Posted on August 1, 2025

Here’s a simple and flavorful recipe for Tortilla Wraps with Ground Beef — perfect for a quick lunch, dinner, or meal prep!

🌯 Ground Beef Tortilla Wraps

🥩 Ingredients:

For the filling:

  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef

  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional, if beef is lean)

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 2–3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp ground cumin

  • 1 tsp paprika or smoked paprika

  • ½ tsp chili powder (optional)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 tbsp tomato paste or ½ cup salsa (optional for moisture and flavor)

Wrap fixings:

  • 4–6 flour tortillas

  • Shredded lettuce

  • Diced tomatoes

  • Sliced avocado or guacamole

  • Grated cheddar or Mexican cheese blend

  • Sour cream or Greek yogurt

  • Hot sauce or salsa (optional)

🔥 Instructions:

  1. Cook the beef filling:

    • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and sauté 3–4 minutes until soft.

    • Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.

    • Add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.

    • Drain excess fat if needed.

    • Stir in cumin, paprika, chili powder, salt, pepper, and tomato paste (or salsa). Cook for 2–3 more minutes until well combined.

  2. Warm the tortillas:

    • Heat them in a dry skillet for 30 seconds per side, or wrap in foil and warm in the oven for 5–10 minutes at 350°F (175°C).

  3. Assemble the wraps:

    • Lay out a tortilla, add a spoonful of ground beef, then layer on toppings like lettuce, tomato, cheese, avocado, and sauce.

    • Fold the bottom up, then the sides in, and roll tightly like a burrito.

  4. Optional — Toast the wrap:

    • For extra crunch, lightly toast the wrap in a skillet for 2–3 minutes per side after rolling.

🧠 Pro Tips:

  • Want a healthier version? Use whole wheat tortillas and swap sour cream for Greek yogurt.

  • Want to prep ahead? Make the beef mixture and keep it refrigerated for up to 4 days.

  • Turn this into a burrito bowl: serve the beef and toppings over rice or lettuce instead of in a wrap.
