Here’s a Crispy Air Fryer Hasselback Potatoes recipe — golden brown on the outside, tender on the inside, with perfectly fanned slices for maximum crispiness and flavor.


🥔 Crispy Air Fryer Hasselback Potatoes

📝 Ingredients:

  • 4 small to medium Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes

  • 2–3 tbsp olive oil or melted butter (or both!)

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 tsp fresh rosemary or thyme (optional)

  • Parmesan cheese (optional, for garnish)

  • Fresh parsley or chives (for serving)


🔪 How to Cut Hasselback Potatoes:

  1. Place the potato between two wooden spoons or chopsticks.

  2. Slice thinly (⅛ to ¼ inch apart), cutting down until the knife hits the spoons — this stops you from slicing all the way through.

  3. Fan the slices open gently with your fingers or a spoon.


🍳 Instructions:

1. Preheat Air Fryer

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).

2. Season the Potatoes

  • In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic, salt, pepper, and herbs.

  • Use a brush or your hands to coat each potato, making sure the oil gets between the slices.

3. Air Fry

  • Place potatoes in the air fryer basket cut-side up, not overcrowded.

  • Air fry for 25–35 minutes, depending on size, until golden and crispy on top and fork-tender inside.

    • Baste with more oil or butter halfway through for extra crispiness.

4. Finish & Serve

  • Optional: Sprinkle with Parmesan in the last 2–3 minutes of cooking.

  • Garnish with fresh herbs and a pinch of flaky salt before serving.


🍽️ Serving Ideas:

  • Perfect with steak, roast chicken, or as a fancy side with sour cream & chives.

  • Add bacon bits or a drizzle of garlic butter for a loaded version.
