Cilantro-Lime Jalapeño Salsa

Posted on August 1, 2025
Here’s a bold, fresh Cilantro-Lime Jalapeño Salsa recipe that works great as a dip, taco topper, or marinade base. It’s zesty, spicy, and incredibly easy to make.

🌿 Cilantro-Lime Jalapeño Salsa

📝 Ingredients:

  • 1 bunch fresh cilantro (about 1 cup packed)

  • 2–3 jalapeños, stems removed
(remove seeds for less heat, or keep them for a kick)

  • 2 cloves garlic

  • 2 tablespoons lime juice (freshly squeezed)

  • ¼ cup olive oil or avocado oil

  • 2 tablespoons white onion or shallot

  • ¼ teaspoon cumin (optional for depth)

  • Salt to taste (start with ½ tsp)

  • 1–2 tablespoons water (to thin, if needed)

🔪 Instructions:

  1. Blend: Add all ingredients to a blender or food processor.

  2. Pulse or blend until smooth or slightly chunky—your preference.

  3. Taste and adjust: Add more lime, salt, or jalapeño to balance the flavor.

  4. Serve immediately or refrigerate for 30 minutes to let the flavors develop.

🔁 Variations:

  • Creamy version: Add ½ avocado or 1–2 tablespoons sour cream or Greek yogurt.

  • Roasted flavor: Roast the jalapeños and garlic before blending.

  • Mild version: Swap one jalapeño for a roasted poblano or green bell pepper.

🌮 Serving Ideas:

  • With tortilla chips

  • Over grilled chicken or shrimp

  • Drizzled on tacos, burrito bowls, or roasted veggies

Let me know if you want a version without oil, or for canning/storage!
