7-Up Biscuits

Posted on July 31, 2025
Here’s a beloved Southern-style recipe for 7-Up Biscuits — unbelievably soft, buttery, and fluffy with just four ingredients! The secret? The carbonation and slight sweetness of the soda make the texture light and tender.

🧈🥤 7-Up Biscuits

Ingredients (Makes 8–10 biscuits):

  • 2 cups Bisquick baking mix (or other self-rising baking mix)

  • ½ cup sour cream

  • ½ cup 7-Up or Sprite

  • ¼ cup melted butter

🔧 Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

    • Pour melted butter into the bottom of a 9×9 or 8×8-inch baking dish.

  2. Make the Dough:

    • In a large bowl, mix Bisquick, sour cream, and 7-Up until just combined. The dough will be very soft and sticky — that’s normal.

  3. Shape the Biscuits:

    • Lightly flour your hands and a surface.

    • Gently press or pat the dough into about ¾-inch thickness and cut with a biscuit cutter or glass.

  4. Place in Buttered Dish:

    • Arrange biscuits in the pan, letting them nestle close together.

  5. Bake:

    • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until tops are golden brown.

  6. Serve Warm:

    • Brush with extra butter if you like and serve with honey, jam, or sausage gravy.

✅ Tips:

  • Don’t overmix the dough — keep it tender!

  • You can make mini biscuits for sliders or breakfast sandwiches.

  • Works with Diet 7-Up or Sprite Zero, too.
