🍕🍔🥧 Cheesy Pizza Burger Pie
Ingredients (Serves 6–8):
-
1 lb ground beef
-
1 small onion, chopped
-
½ tsp garlic powder
-
1 cup pizza or marinara sauce
-
1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
-
½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for that cheeseburger flavor)
-
1 can refrigerated crescent rolls (or use store-bought pizza dough)
-
½ tsp Italian seasoning (optional)
-
Optional toppings: mini pepperoni, sliced pickles, olives, or bell peppers
-
Salt and black pepper, to taste
🔧 Instructions:
1. Preheat Oven:
-
Preheat to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9-inch pie pan or round baking dish.
2. Cook Beef Mixture:
-
In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until browned and cooked through.
-
Drain excess grease.
-
Stir in garlic powder, a pinch of salt and pepper, and the pizza sauce.
-
Simmer 3–5 minutes, then remove from heat.
3. Prepare Crust:
-
Unroll crescent dough and press into the bottom and up the sides of the pie pan to form a crust. Seal any seams.
-
You can prebake the crust for 5 minutes to keep it crisper (optional but helpful).
4. Assemble the Pie:
-
Spoon the meat mixture into the crust.
-
Sprinkle evenly with mozzarella and cheddar cheese.
-
Add optional toppings if using (e.g., mini pepperoni, pickles, peppers).
-
Sprinkle with Italian seasoning for a pizza vibe.
5. Bake:
-
Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and crust is golden brown.
6. Serve:
-
Let cool slightly before slicing.
-
Serve with extra pizza sauce, ranch, or burger-style condiments on the side.
✅ Tips & Variations:
-
Add cooked bacon, mushrooms, or jalapeños for extra flavor.
-
Use a pre-made pie crust or biscuit dough as an alternative to crescent rolls.
-
Make it low-carb by skipping the crust and baking it casserole-style.
