Here’s a hearty and easy Smoked Sausage and Potato Bake recipe — it’s a perfect one-pan comfort meal that’s full of flavor, budget-friendly, and great for busy weeknights.


🥔🔥 Smoked Sausage and Potato Bake

Ingredients (Serves 4–6):

  • 14 oz smoked sausage (kielbasa or andouille), sliced into rounds

  • 2 lbs potatoes (Yukon gold or red), cut into 1-inch cubes

  • 1 medium onion, sliced or chopped

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1½ tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (or regular)

  • ½ tsp dried thyme or Italian seasoning

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for topping)

  • Fresh parsley or green onions, chopped (for garnish)


🔧 Instructions:

1. Preheat Oven:

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

2. Prep Ingredients:

  • In a large bowl, toss the potatoes, onion, and sausage slices with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper until everything is evenly coated.

3. Bake:

  • Spread the mixture onto a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet or into a large baking dish.

  • Bake uncovered for 35–45 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the potatoes are tender and golden brown and sausage is browned.

4. Add Cheese (Optional):

  • If using cheese, sprinkle it on top during the last 5 minutes of baking and return to the oven until melted and bubbly.

5. Serve:

  • Garnish with fresh parsley or green onions.

  • Serve hot with sour cream or a side salad.
