🥔 Air Fryer Potato Slices Recipe
Ingredients:
-
2 medium potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russet work well)
-
1–2 tablespoons olive oil
-
½ teaspoon salt
-
½ teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
-
½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
-
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
-
Optional: Parmesan cheese, fresh herbs (rosemary, thyme)
Instructions:
-
Prep the Potatoes:
-
Wash and peel (optional) the potatoes.
-
Slice them evenly into ⅛–¼ inch rounds. Use a mandoline for consistent thickness if you have one.
-
-
Soak (Optional but Recommended):
-
Soak the slices in cold water for 15–30 minutes to remove excess starch. This helps them crisp up better.
-
Drain and pat them completely dry with a clean towel.
-
-
Season:
-
Toss the dry slices in olive oil, salt, and your desired seasonings.
-
-
Preheat the Air Fryer:
-
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
-
-
Air Fry:
-
Place the slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if needed.
-
Air fry for 10–15 minutes, flipping halfway through. Thinner slices cook faster.
-
Watch closely the last few minutes to prevent burning.
-
-
Serve:
-
Let them cool slightly. Sprinkle with parmesan or herbs if desired. Serve with your favorite dip.
-
🔁 Variations:
-
Sweet potatoes for a sweeter version.
-
Spicy version: Add cayenne or chili powder.
-
Cheesy: Sprinkle shredded cheese over the hot slices immediately after cooking.
Let me know if you want a version that’s extra crispy, thicker like steak fries, or baked instead
