Air Fryer Potato Slices

Posted on July 29, 2025
Air fryer potato slices are crispy, flavorful, and super easy to make. Here’s a simple recipe to get you started:

🥔 Crispy Air Fryer Potato Slices

Ingredients:

  • 2–3 medium potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russet work great)

  • 1–2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (to taste)

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • Optional: garlic powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, or fresh herbs

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Potatoes:

    • Wash and scrub the potatoes clean (peel if you prefer).

    • Slice into even 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick rounds using a sharp knife or mandoline.

  2. Soak (Optional but recommended):

    • Place slices in a bowl of cold water for 15–30 minutes to remove excess starch.

    • Drain and pat completely dry with a clean towel or paper towel.

  3. Season:

    • Toss the dry potato slices in a bowl with olive oil, salt, pepper, and any additional seasonings.

  4. Air Fry:

    • Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C).

    • Place the slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket (cook in batches if needed).

    • Air fry for 10–15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.

  5. Serve:

    • Sprinkle with more salt or herbs if desired.

    • Serve hot as a snack, side dish, or appetizer.

🔁 Variations:

  • Cheesy: Add grated Parmesan in the last 2 minutes of cooking.

  • Spicy: Sprinkle with chili powder or cayenne.

  • Sweet Potato: Follow the same steps using sweet potatoes.
