  1. Melt White Chocolate:
    In a heatproof bowl, melt the white chocolate and butter together using a double boiler or in the microwave in 20-second bursts. Stir until smooth. Let cool slightly.

  3. Whip Egg Whites (Optional):
    In a separate clean bowl, beat egg whites (with sugar, if using) until they form firm but not dry peaks. (Skip this step if using whipped topping.)

  4. Combine:
    Gently fold the melted white chocolate mixture into the whipped cream using a spatula. Then carefully fold in the whipped egg whites until no streaks remain.

  5. Chill:
    Spoon into serving glasses or ramekins. Chill at least 2–3 hours until set.

  6. Serve:
    Top with shaved white chocolate, berries, whipped cream, or mint leaves for an elegant touch.
