Air Fryer Poached Eggs

Posted on July 28, 2025

Poaching eggs in the air fryer is surprisingly simple — no swirling water, no broken yolks! Here’s how to make perfect Air Fryer Poached Eggs in just a few minutes.

🍳 Air Fryer Poached Eggs

🥚 Ingredients:

  • 1–4 fresh eggs (as many as your air fryer can fit)

  • Cooking spray or a dab of oil (to grease ramekins)

  • Hot water (from the tap or kettle)

🛠️ Tools Needed:

  • 2 to 4 small ramekins or silicone muffin cups (oven-safe)

  • Air fryer with a flat basket or tray

🔥 Instructions:

1. Prep the Ramekins:

  • Lightly grease ramekins with oil or cooking spray.

  • Pour about 3 tablespoons of hot water into each ramekin.

2. Add the Eggs:

  • Crack one egg into each ramekin gently (don’t break the yolk).

3. Air Fry:

  • Place ramekins carefully into the air fryer basket.

  • Set air fryer to 340°F (170°C).

  • Cook for 5–7 minutes, depending on your air fryer and how runny you want the yolk:

    • 5 min = runny yolk

    • 6 min = slightly set yolk

    • 7 min = soft-set yolk

💡 TIP: Every air fryer is different. Start with 5 minutes, check, and adjust from there.

4. Remove and Serve:

  • Use tongs or oven mitts to remove ramekins carefully.

  • Use a slotted spoon to lift the egg out of the water.

  • Serve immediately on toast, salads, avocado toast, or breakfast bowls.

✅ Pro Tips:

  • Use fresh eggs — they poach better and hold their shape.

  • For easier removal, gently swirl the water before adding the egg (optional).

  • Can be made ahead and kept in warm water until ready to serve.
