Here’s a Homemade Cheesy Garlic Breadsticks recipe that’s buttery, cheesy, and full of garlicky goodness — perfect as a side or snack!


🧄🧀 Cheesy Garlic Breadsticks Recipe

Ingredients:

For the Dough:

  • 2¼ tsp (1 packet) active dry yeast

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • ¾ cup warm water (110°F / 43°C)

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

For the Garlic Butter Topping:

  • 3 tbsp melted butter

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 tsp garlic powder)

  • 1 tsp dried parsley or Italian seasoning

  • ¼ tsp salt

For the Cheese Topping:

  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan


👩‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Prepare the Dough:

  • In a small bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.

  • In a large bowl, mix flour and salt. Add yeast mixture and olive oil. Mix and knead (by hand or dough hook) until smooth and elastic (about 5–7 minutes).

  • Cover with a towel and let rise in a warm place for 45–60 minutes, or until doubled in size.

2. Preheat Oven:

  • Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).

  • Line a baking sheet or pizza pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

3. Shape the Dough:

  • Punch down the dough and roll it out into a rectangle or circle (about ¼-inch thick).

  • Place on the prepared baking sheet.

4. Add Toppings:

  • Mix melted butter, garlic, salt, and parsley/seasoning.

  • Brush garlic butter generously over the dough.

  • Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan evenly over the top.

5. Bake:

  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges are golden.

6. Slice & Serve:

  • Let cool for 2–3 minutes, then slice into breadsticks using a pizza cutter or sharp knife.

  • Serve warm with marinara, ranch, or garlic dipping sauce.


💡 Tips:

  • Add red pepper flakes for a little kick.

  • Make it extra garlicky with roasted garlic in the butter.

  • Use store-bought pizza dough to save time!
