Here’s a juicy and flavorful Air Fryer Caprese Chicken — a quick and healthy dinner that’s full of Italian-inspired flavor! You’ll get tender chicken breast topped with melty mozzarella, fresh tomato slices, and a drizzle of balsamic glaze.


🍅 Air Fryer Caprese Chicken

Serves: 2–4 | Prep Time: 10 min | Cook Time: 12–15 min


🧂 Ingredients:

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (pounded to even thickness)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • 4 slices fresh mozzarella

  • 1–2 Roma tomatoes, sliced

  • Fresh basil leaves

  • Balsamic glaze (store-bought or homemade)


🔪 Instructions:

  1. Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.

  2. Season the chicken:

    • Rub chicken with olive oil.

    • Sprinkle with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.

  3. Cook in air fryer:

    • Place chicken breasts in air fryer basket (don’t overcrowd).

    • Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through.

    • Internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).

  4. Add toppings:

    • Once cooked, top each chicken breast with 1–2 slices of mozzarella and tomato.

    • Return to air fryer for 1–2 minutes until cheese is melted.

  5. Finish & serve:

    • Remove from air fryer, top with fresh basil and a generous drizzle of balsamic glaze.

    • Serve with a side salad, roasted veggies, or over zucchini noodles for a low-carb meal.


📝 Tips:

  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in balsamic vinaigrette for 30 minutes before cooking.

  • No balsamic glaze? Simmer ½ cup balsamic vinegar with 1 tbsp honey until thickened (about 10–15 minutes).

  • Use cherry tomatoes or sun-dried tomatoes if fresh ones aren’t available.
