Air Fryer Sliced Potatoes

Posted on July 26, 2025
Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Air Fryer Sliced Potatoes – crispy on the outside, tender inside!

🥔 Air Fryer Sliced Potatoes Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 medium russet or Yukon gold potatoes (thinly sliced, ~⅛ inch)

  • 1½ tablespoons olive oil

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ teaspoon paprika (optional)

  • ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

  • Optional: fresh herbs (like rosemary or parsley), grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. Prep the Potatoes:

    • Wash and thinly slice potatoes (leave skin on for extra crispiness or peel if preferred).

    • Pat dry with a paper towel to remove excess moisture (this helps with crispiness).

  2. Season:

    • In a large bowl, toss slices with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.

    • Optional: add a little cayenne for a spicy kick or rosemary for a herby note.

  3. Preheat Air Fryer (optional but helpful):

    • Set to 375°F (190°C) for 2-3 minutes.

  4. Air Fry:

    • Place potato slices in the basket in a single layer (you may need to do batches).

    • Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 10–15 minutes, shaking or flipping halfway through.

    • Keep an eye on them after 10 minutes – thin slices can brown quickly.

  5. Serve:

    • Sprinkle with fresh herbs or Parmesan cheese if desired.

    • Serve with dipping sauces like ketchup, ranch, or garlic aioli.

🔄 Tips:

  • For ultra-thin and even slices, use a mandoline slicer.

  • Want them extra crispy like chips? Slice very thin and cook longer at a slightly lower temp (350°F) for 15–18 minutes.

  • Sweet potatoes also work well with this method.

Let me know if you want a variation like cheesy, spicy, or ranch-style potatoes!
