🍌 Bananas Foster Pudding
Ingredients:
For the Caramelized Bananas (Bananas Foster Layer):

3 ripe bananas, sliced

3 tbsp unsalted butter

1/3 cup brown sugar

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1–2 tbsp dark rum or 1/2 tsp rum extract (optional)

Pinch of salt
For the Pudding Layer:

1 (5.1 oz) box instant vanilla pudding mix

2 cups cold milk (whole milk preferred for creaminess)

1/2 cup heavy cream (optional, for extra richness)

1/2 tsp vanilla extract
For Layering:

1 box vanilla wafers or graham crackers
-
Whipped cream or whipped topping

Optional: extra banana slices, toasted pecans

1. Make the Pudding:

In a bowl, whisk together the pudding mix, milk, cream (if using), and vanilla extract until smooth and thickened (about 2 minutes).

Chill in the fridge while preparing the bananas.
2. Prepare Bananas Foster:

In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter.

Add brown sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Stir until bubbly (about 2 minutes).

Gently stir in banana slices and cook for 1–2 minutes until lightly caramelized.

Carefully add rum or rum extract (if using). Cook for another 30 seconds. Let it cool slightly.
3. Assemble:

In a trifle dish or individual cups, layer:

Vanilla wafers or graham crackers

A spoonful of caramelized bananas

Pudding

Repeat layers as desired, ending with pudding on top.

Chill for at least 2 hours to let the layers meld and wafers soften.
4. Top and Serve:
