🥚 Air Fryer Yorkshire Puddings
Ingredients (makes 6–8):
-
1/2 cup (60g) all-purpose flour
-
2 large eggs
-
1/2 cup (120ml) whole milk
-
1/4 tsp salt
-
2–3 tsp oil or beef drippings (for greasing tins)
🧑🍳 Instructions:
1. Make the batter:
-
In a bowl, whisk together flour, eggs, milk, and salt until smooth.
-
Let the batter rest at room temperature for 30 minutes (or refrigerate for up to a day and bring back to room temp before using). This helps them rise better.
2. Prepare the tins:
-
Use silicone or metal muffin cups that fit your air fryer basket.
-
Add about 1/2 tsp of oil or beef drippings to each muffin cup.
3. Preheat the air fryer:
-
Preheat to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes with the oiled muffin cups inside. This step is crucial — the oil needs to be sizzling hot.
4. Add batter:
-
Carefully remove the hot cups and immediately pour batter into each cup — fill about 1/3 to 1/2 full. You should hear a sizzle.
5. Cook:
-
Place the cups back in the air fryer.
-
Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 11–14 minutes, without opening the basket, until well-risen and golden brown.
⚠️ Important Notes:
-
Don’t open the air fryer while cooking — they may collapse.
-
Serve immediately! Yorkshire puddings are best fresh and hot.
