🧂 Ingredients:

4 bone-in pork chops (1-inch thick)

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp onion powder
-
½ cup all-purpose flour (for dredging)

3 tbsp oil (vegetable or canola)

1 large onion, thinly sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced
-
2 tbsp butter
-
2 tbsp flour (for gravy)

2 cups chicken broth
-
½ tsp thyme (optional)

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
🔪 Instructions:

Season the Pork Chops:

Pat pork chops dry with paper towels.

Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.

Dredge & Brown:
-
Lightly dredge pork chops in flour (shake off excess).

Heat 3 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Sear pork chops 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove and set aside.

Sauté Onions:

In the same pan, reduce heat to medium.

Add butter and sliced onions. Cook 8–10 minutes until soft and golden.

Add garlic and sauté 1 more minute.

Make Gravy:

Sprinkle in 2 tbsp flour and cook for 1–2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Slowly whisk in chicken broth until smooth.

Add Worcestershire sauce and thyme. Let it simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.

Smother & Simmer:

Return pork chops to the pan.

Spoon gravy over the top.

Cover and simmer on low for 25–30 minutes until pork chops are tender.
