Salt & pepper, to taste
โ For the Tostadas:

8โ10 corn tostada shells (store-bought or homemade)
-
1 can refried beans (or black/pinto beans, mashed)

1/2 cup sour cream or Mexican crema
-
1/2 head lettuce, finely shredded
-
1 large tomato, diced
-
1/4 cup onion, finely chopped (white or red)
-
1 avocado, sliced or mashed
-
1/4 cup crumbled queso fresco or cotija cheese
-
Fresh cilantro, chopped
-
Hot sauce, lime wedges, or salsa for serving

1๏ธโฃ Marinate the Steak:

In a bowl or zip-top bag, combine lime juice, orange juice, olive oil, garlic, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper.

Add the steak and marinate for at least 30 minutes (up to 4 hours for best flavor).
2๏ธโฃ Grill or Pan-Sear the Steak:

Heat a grill or cast-iron pan over high heat.

Cook steak for 4โ5 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until medium-rare or desired doneness.

Rest for 5 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain.

Heat refried beans in a pan or microwave until spreadable.

On each tostada shell:

Spread a layer of warm beans.

Add sliced Carne Asada.

Top with lettuce, tomato, onion, avocado, and cheese.
