Here’s a delicious and satisfying “Délice de Spaghetti” recipe tailored for Weight Watchers (WW) — full of flavor, light on points, and great for lunch or dinner.


🍝 Délice de Spaghetti (Weight Watchers-Friendly)

🧂 Ingredients (4 servings):

  • 200 g (7 oz) whole wheat spaghetti (or WW-friendly pasta)

  • 200 g (7 oz) lean ground turkey or chicken (5% fat or less)

  • 1 small onion, finely chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 small zucchini, diced

  • 1/2 red bell pepper, diced

  • 200 ml (7 fl oz) crushed tomatoes (or tomato passata)

  • 1 tbsp tomato paste

  • 1 tsp olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano

  • 1/2 tsp basil

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • Fresh parsley (optional)

  • Grated light Parmesan (1 tbsp per serving – optional)


🍳 Instructions:

  1. Cook the Pasta:

    • Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.

    • Cook spaghetti according to package directions until al dente.

    • Drain and set aside.

  2. Prepare the Sauce:

    • In a nonstick skillet, heat 1 tsp olive oil over medium heat.

    • Add onion and garlic, sauté until softened (2–3 minutes).

    • Add ground turkey/chicken, cook until browned, breaking up the meat.

  3. Add Veggies & Simmer:

    • Add zucchini and bell pepper. Cook for 3–5 minutes.

    • Stir in tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.

    • Simmer uncovered for 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to blend.

  4. Combine:

    • Add cooked spaghetti to the sauce.

    • Toss well to coat evenly. Adjust seasoning.

  5. Serve:

    • Divide into 4 portions.

    • Top with chopped parsley and a sprinkle of grated light Parmesan if desired.


🟢 WW Points Tips (estimates, varies by plan):

  • Use whole wheat pasta or chickpea pasta to reduce points.

  • Lean ground turkey or chicken (99% fat-free) = fewer points.

  • Non-starchy vegetables = 0 points!

  • Tomato sauce without added sugar = low points.

  • Olive oil = 1 point per teaspoon (optional, can skip for fewer points).
