Air Fryer Chicken Tenders

Posted on June 30, 2025
Here’s a super easy and crispy Air Fryer Chicken Tenders recipe—juicy inside, golden outside, and way healthier than deep-fried!

🍗 Crispy Air Fryer Chicken Tenders

🧾 Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) chicken tenders or sliced boneless chicken breasts

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)

  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 eggs, beaten

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

  • 1/2 tsp paprika (optional)

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • Cooking spray or a light oil mist

🔪 Instructions:

1. Prep Chicken:

  • Pat the chicken tenders dry.

  • Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.

2. Set Up Breading Station:

  • Bowl 1: Flour

  • Bowl 2: Beaten eggs

  • Bowl 3: Breadcrumbs

3. Bread the Tenders:

  • Dredge each piece in flour → dip in egg → coat in breadcrumbs.

  • Press gently so the breadcrumbs stick well.

4. Air Fry:

  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3–5 minutes.

  • Lightly spray the basket with oil.

  • Place tenders in a single layer (do in batches if needed).

  • Air fry for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and internal temp hits 165°F (74°C).

5. Serve:

  • Let rest 2 minutes. Serve hot with dipping sauces like honey mustard, ranch, or buffalo.

🔄 Optional Add-Ons:

  • Swap panko for crushed cornflakes for extra crisp.

  • Add grated Parmesan to the breadcrumbs.

  • Use seasoned breadcrumbs for a shortcut.
