ROASTED GARLIC MUSHROOM

Posted on June 27, 2025
Yes! Roasted garlic mushrooms are earthy, savory, and full of umami—the perfect side dish or appetizer. Here’s a simple and delicious recipe to bring out all that deep roasted flavor:

Roasted Garlic Mushrooms

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (450g) whole mushrooms (button or cremini)

  • 4–6 garlic cloves, minced (or roasted garlic for a sweeter flavor)

  • 2–3 tbsp olive oil or melted butter

  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar (optional, for depth)

  • 1 tsp fresh thyme or rosemary (or ½ tsp dried)

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • Optional: grated Parmesan, parsley, or chili flakes for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:

    • Set to 400°F (200°C).

  2. Prep Mushrooms:

    • Clean mushrooms with a damp cloth (don’t soak).

    • If large, cut in halves or quarters. Leave small ones whole.

  3. Mix:

    • In a bowl, toss mushrooms with olive oil/butter, garlic, herbs, balsamic (if using), salt, and pepper.

  4. Roast:

    • Spread on a baking sheet in a single layer.

    • Roast for 20–25 minutes, stirring halfway, until browned and tender.

    • Garlic should be golden and fragrant—not burnt.

  5. Finish:

    • Optional: Sprinkle with chopped parsley, Parmesan, or a squeeze of lemon before serving.

Serving Ideas:

  • Serve alongside steak, chicken, or tofu.

  • Toss into pasta or risotto.

  • Use as a topping for toast or burgers.

Let me know if you want a vegan version, stuffed variation, or air fryer method!
