Here’s a tasty and easy Cheesy Carrot Flatbreads recipe — soft, savory flatbreads made with shredded carrots and melty cheese. Great as a snack, side dish, or wrap base!


🫓 Cheesy Carrot Flatbreads

🧂 Ingredients:

  • 1 cup grated carrot (about 2 medium carrots)

  • 1 cup grated cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or a blend)

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour (plus more for dusting)

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp garlic powder or dried herbs (optional)

  • ¼ cup plain yogurt or Greek yogurt

  • ¼ cup water (adjust as needed)

  • 1–2 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)


🥣 Optional Add-ins:

  • Chopped green onions or parsley

  • A pinch of chili flakes or black pepper for heat


🔪 Instructions:

1. Mix the Dough:

  • In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, salt, and optional spices.

  • Stir in grated carrot and cheese.

  • Add yogurt and water, mix until a soft dough forms. Add a bit more water or flour as needed.

  • Knead lightly until smooth (~2–3 minutes).

2. Divide and Roll:

  • Divide dough into 4–6 balls.

  • Roll each one into a thin round (~6–8 inches wide) on a floured surface.

3. Cook the Flatbreads:

  • Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat with a drizzle of olive oil.

  • Cook each flatbread for 2–3 minutes per side, until golden and puffed with crisp spots.

  • Press gently with a spatula for even cooking.

4. Serve Warm:

  • Serve warm with hummus, yogurt dip, or as a wrap base.


✅ Tips:

  • Use whole wheat flour for a more rustic flavor.

  • Add a handful of spinach or grated zucchini (squeeze out moisture) for veggie variety.

  • Leftovers? Reheat in a skillet or toast to crisp up.
