Posted on June 22, 2025

You’ve just named a flavor bomb of a sandwich — and yes, it’s as indulgent and delicious as it sounds. Here’s a killer recipe for a Cheesy Garlic Bread Shrimp Grilled Cheese — buttery, garlicky, melty, cheesy, with juicy shrimp tucked inside. Perfect for a comfort food craving or next-level lunch.

🧄🦐🧀 Cheesy Garlic Bread Shrimp Grilled Cheese

Servings: 2 sandwiches

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 10–12 minutes

Total Time: ~25–30 minutes

Ingredients:

🧄 Garlic Butter:

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

  • 2 cloves garlic, finely minced

  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 tsp dried parsley)

  • 1 pinch of salt

🦐 Shrimp Filling:

  • ½ lb shrimp, peeled, deveined, chopped into bite-size pieces

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil or butter

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • Optional: a pinch of paprika or red pepper flakes

🧀 For the Sandwich:

  • 4 slices thick bread (like sourdough or Texas toast)

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar (or provolone, Monterey Jack, etc.)

  • Optional: 1–2 tablespoons Parmesan, for extra flavor

Instructions:

1. Make Garlic Butter:

  • Mix softened butter with garlic, parsley, and a pinch of salt in a small bowl. Set aside.

2. Cook the Shrimp:

  • Heat oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika if using.

  • Sauté shrimp for 2–3 minutes until just pink and cooked through. Set aside.

3. Assemble the Sandwiches:

  • Spread garlic butter generously on one side of each slice of bread.

  • On the unbuttered side, layer cheese, cooked shrimp, more cheese, and top with the second slice (buttered side facing out).

4. Grill the Sandwiches:

  • Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat.

  • Grill sandwiches 3–4 minutes per side, pressing slightly, until golden brown and cheese is fully melted.

  • For extra crispiness, sprinkle a bit of Parmesan on the outside of the bread just before flipping.

✅ Tips:

  • Add a thin layer of garlic aioli or spicy mayo inside for a twist.

  • Want it spicy? Add sliced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce with the shrimp.

  • Great with a side of tomato soup, garlic parmesan fries, or a Caesar salad.
