Here’s a Cheese Tortellini Pepperoni Pizza Casserole — a cheesy, comforting mashup of pasta and pizza that’s perfect for weeknights or feeding a hungry crowd. It combines cheese tortellini, marinara sauce, gooey mozzarella, and plenty of pepperoni, all baked into a bubbly, pizza-flavored casserole.


🍕 Cheese Tortellini Pepperoni Pizza Casserole

🧀 Ingredients:

  • 20 oz cheese tortellini (refrigerated or frozen)

  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara or pizza sauce

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

  • 1 cup mini pepperoni (or regular sliced and halved)

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • Red pepper flakes (optional, to taste)

  • Olive oil or non-stick spray


🔪 Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

    • Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  2. Cook the Tortellini:

    • Boil the tortellini according to package directions until just al dente (they’ll cook more in the oven).

    • Drain and set aside.

  3. Assemble the Casserole:

    • In a large bowl, mix together the cooked tortellini, marinara sauce, half the mozzarella, and seasonings.

    • Stir in half of the pepperoni.

  4. Layer in Baking Dish:

    • Pour the tortellini mixture into the prepared baking dish.

    • Top with remaining mozzarella, Parmesan (if using), and the rest of the pepperoni.

  5. Bake:

    • Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes.

    • Uncover and bake an additional 10–15 minutes, or until bubbly and the cheese is golden.

  6. Serve:

    • Let it rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley if desired.


🔁 Variations:

  • Add veggies: diced bell peppers, mushrooms, or black olives.

  • Make it spicy: use hot Italian sausage or spicy pepperoni.

  • Swap proteins: add cooked ground beef, sausage, or rotisserie chicken.
