Air Fryer Sliced Potatoes

Posted on June 10, 2025

Here’s a super easy and tasty recipe for Air Fryer Sliced Potatoes — crispy edges, tender centers, and a perfect side for just about anything.

🥔 Air Fryer Sliced Potatoes

Ingredients:

  • 2–3 medium potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russet work great)
  • 1–2 tablespoons olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika (optional, for color and flavor)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional toppings: grated Parmesan, fresh herbs, or dipping sauce

Instructions:

  1. Prep the potatoes:
Wash and thinly slice potatoes into rounds (about ⅛–¼ inch thick). You can peel them or leave the skin on — your choice!
  2. Soak (optional but helps crispiness):
Place slices in a bowl of cold water for 20–30 minutes. Drain and pat very dry with paper towels.
  3. Season:
Toss dry slices with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  4. Air fry:
Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Arrange slices in a single layer (or slight overlap) in the air fryer basket. Cook in batches if needed.
  5. Cook time:
Air fry for 12–16 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and crispy on the edges. Time may vary based on thickness and air fryer model.
  6. Serve:
Sprinkle with extra salt, herbs, or Parmesan while hot. Serve with ketchup, ranch, or aioli.

📝 Tips:

  • Mandoline slicer helps for even, thin slices.
  • For extra crispiness, don’t overcrowd the basket and dry the slices well after soaking.
  • Try seasoning variations like Cajun, rosemary & sea salt, or taco spice.

Want to make them into loaded potato nachos or try a sweet version with cinnamon sugar?
