🍌 Air Fryer Banana Chips
Ingredients:
-
2 ripe but firm bananas (not overly ripe or mushy)
-
1 teaspoon coconut oil or olive oil (optional, for crispiness)
-
Pinch of salt (optional)
-
Optional: cinnamon or sugar for a sweet twist
Instructions:
-
Prep the bananas:
Peel the bananas and slice them very thinly (about 1/8 inch or less) using a sharp knife or mandoline. -
Oil and season:
Toss the banana slices lightly with oil and a pinch of salt or your favorite seasoning. -
Arrange in air fryer:
Lay banana slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they don’t overlap (you may need to do batches). -
Air fry:
Cook at 320°F (160°C) for 10–15 minutes, flipping halfway through. Keep a close eye—they can burn quickly near the end. -
Cool:
Remove and let banana chips cool completely to crisp up. They will get crunchier as they cool.
📝 Tips:
-
Slice as thin and uniform as possible for even cooking.
-
If you want sweeter chips, sprinkle a little cinnamon sugar before cooking.
-
Store cooled chips in an airtight container to keep crisp.
