Steak & Eggs recipe

Here’s a classic and protein-packed Steak & Eggs recipe — a hearty breakfast (or brunch!) that’s simple, satisfying, and full of flavor. Great for mornings when you want to feel like a champion.


🥩🍳 Steak & Eggs

Servings: 2
Prep + Cook Time: 20–25 minutes


✅ Ingredients:

For the Steak:

  • 2 small steaks (sirloin, ribeye, or NY strip — about 6–8 oz each)

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter

  • 1 clove garlic, smashed (optional)

  • Fresh rosemary or thyme sprig (optional)

For the Eggs:

  • 4 large eggs

  • 1 tbsp butter or oil

  • Salt & pepper to taste


🔪 Instructions:

1. Prep the Steak:

  • Pat steaks dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

  • Let them rest at room temp for 15–20 minutes if time allows (helps with even cooking).

2. Cook the Steak:

  • Heat 1 tbsp oil or butter in a skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Add steak and cook:

    • 3–4 min per side for medium-rare (depending on thickness)

  • Optionally, add garlic and herbs in the last 2 minutes and spoon butter over the steak.

  • Remove from pan and let rest for 5–10 minutes.

3. Cook the Eggs:

  • In the same pan (or a clean skillet), lower heat to medium.

  • Add 1 tbsp butter or oil.

  • Crack in eggs and cook to your preference:

    • Sunny-side up: 2–3 minutes, don’t flip.

    • Over-easy/medium/hard: Flip gently after 2 minutes and cook to desired doneness.

  • Season with salt & pepper.

4. Serve:

  • Plate the steak with two eggs on the side. Optionally garnish with fresh herbs, hot sauce, or a sprinkle of smoked paprika.


🍽️ Serving Ideas:

  • Add crispy hash browns, roasted potatoes, avocado slices, or sautéed spinach on the side.

  • Drizzle with chimichurri, steak sauce, or a little sriracha for an extra kick.
