🍜🥩🦐 Steak & Shrimp Teriyaki Noodles

Servings: 4
Prep + Cook Time: ~35–40 minutes

✅ Ingredients:

Protein:

  • ½ lb flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced

  • ½ lb shrimp, peeled & deveined

  • Salt & black pepper to taste

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for steak)

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (divided)

  • 1 tsp sesame oil (optional)

Noodles:

  • 8 oz lo mein noodles, ramen, or spaghetti
(cook according to package and drain)

Veggies (optional but recommended):

  • 1 cup julienned carrots

  • 1 bell pepper, thinly sliced

  • 1 cup broccoli florets or snap peas

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated

Teriyaki Sauce:

  • ⅓ cup low-sodium soy sauce

  • 2 tbsp brown sugar or honey

  • 2 tbsp mirin or rice vinegar

  • 1 tbsp hoisin sauce (optional, for depth)

  • 1 tsp sesame oil

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (for thickening)

🔪 Instructions:

1. Prep the Protein:

  • Toss sliced steak with a little cornstarch, salt, and pepper.

  • Season shrimp lightly with salt and pepper.

2. Make the Sauce:

  • In a bowl, mix all sauce ingredients except cornstarch slurry.

  • Set aside cornstarch + water mix separately to thicken later.

3. Cook the Steak & Shrimp:

  • Heat 1 tbsp oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

  • Sear steak slices (in batches if needed) 2–3 minutes until browned but tender. Set aside.

  • Add ½ tbsp more oil; cook shrimp 1–2 minutes per side. Set aside.

4. Sauté Veggies (if using):

  • In the same skillet, add garlic, ginger, and remaining oil. Stir-fry veggies for 3–5 minutes until just tender-crisp.

5. Assemble:

  • Return steak and shrimp to the pan. Add cooked noodles.

  • Pour in teriyaki sauce and toss everything together.

  • Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook another 1–2 minutes until sauce thickens and coats noodles.

🍽️ To Serve:

  • Garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, or a drizzle of extra teriyaki.

  • Serve hot with a side of steamed edamame or egg rolls!
