TRY SLICED POTATOES IN THE AIR FRYER

Absolutely! Sliced potatoes in the air fryer are super easy, crispy, and delicious โ€” like homemade potato chips or thick-cut fries depending on how you slice them.


๐Ÿฅ” Air Fryer Sliced Potatoes

๐Ÿงพ Ingredients:

  • 2โ€“3 medium potatoes (russet, Yukon gold, or red)

  • 1โ€“2 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt, to taste

  • Optional seasonings:

    • Garlic powder

    • Paprika

    • Black pepper

    • Onion powder

    • Parmesan cheese

    • Fresh herbs (like rosemary or thyme)

1. Prep Potatoes:

  • Wash and scrub potatoes (peel if you prefer).

  • Slice evenly:

    • For chips: 1/8-inch thin (use a mandoline if possible)

    • For rounds or thick slices: 1/4โ€“1/2 inch

2. Soak (Optional but Recommended):

  • Soak slices in cold water for 15โ€“30 minutes to remove excess starch โ€” this helps them crisp up.

  • Drain and pat very dry with paper towels.

3. Season:

  • Toss slices with olive oil and your seasonings of choice.

4. Air Fry:

  • Preheat air fryer to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).

  • Arrange potato slices in a single layer (cook in batches if needed).

  • Air fry:

    • Thin chips: 10โ€“12 minutes, flipping halfway through.

    • Thicker slices: 14โ€“18 minutes, flipping halfway.

  • Keep an eye on them to avoid burning โ€” thinner slices can go from golden to burnt quickly.

5. Serve:

  • Season with extra salt or Parmesan while hot.

  • Serve with ketchup, aioli, sour cream, or your favorite dip.
