Posted on June 8, 2025

Here’s the classic and super-easy Paula Deen’s 5-Minute Fudge recipe — rich, creamy, and perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth fast!

🍫 Paula Deen’s 5-Minute Fudge

🧾 Ingredients:

  • 1 & ⅔ cups granulated sugar

  • 2/3 cup evaporated milk

  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter

  • ½ tsp salt

  • 1 (6 oz) package semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 16 large marshmallows (or about 1½ cups mini marshmallows)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

👩‍🍳 Instructions:

  1. Prep Your Pan:

    • Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with foil or parchment paper. Lightly grease.

  2. Cook the Fudge Base:

    • In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine sugar, evaporated milk, butter, and salt.

    • Bring to a full boil, stirring constantly.

    • Boil for exactly 5 minutes, continuing to stir (start timing once it hits a full boil).

  3. Add the Rest:

    • Remove from heat.

    • Stir in chocolate chips, marshmallows, and vanilla. Mix until completely melted and smooth.

    • Fold in nuts if using.

  4. Pour & Set:

    • Pour fudge into prepared dish.

    • Smooth the top and let cool at room temperature until firm, or refrigerate for quicker setting.

  5. Cut & Serve:

    • Once set, cut into small squares. Store in an airtight container.

🍬 Tips:

  • For a twist, try using peanut butter chips or white chocolate instead of semi-sweet.

  • Add a sprinkle of sea salt on top before the fudge sets for a sweet-salty kick.

  • This fudge also freezes well!
