🧀🍗 Chicken Parmesan Grilled Cheese Sandwich
Ingredients (makes 2 sandwiches):

4 slices bread (Italian, sourdough, or thick white bread works best)

1 cup cooked breaded chicken (store-bought chicken cutlets, tenders, or homemade)

1/2 cup marinara sauce

4 slices mozzarella or provolone cheese (or 1 cup shredded)

2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
-
2–3 tbsp butter, softened

Optional: fresh basil or red pepper flakes
🔧 Instructions:

Prep Chicken:

If using large chicken cutlets, slice to fit the bread.

Warm the chicken in a skillet or microwave if it’s cold.

Assemble Sandwiches:

Butter one side of each bread slice.

On the unbuttered side, layer:

1 slice of mozzarella

Warm chicken
-
A spoonful of marinara sauce

Sprinkle of Parmesan

Another slice of mozzarella

Top with the second slice of bread (buttered side out)

Grill It:

Heat a nonstick skillet over medium-low.

Cook sandwich 3–5 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted. Press gently with a spatula while cooking.

Slice in half, garnish with basil if you like, and serve with extra marinara for dipping.

Extra crispy: Use garlic butter or add a sprinkle of Italian breadcrumbs to the outside before grilling.

No breaded chicken? Use grilled chicken with a layer of cheese underneath and above to hold everything together.

Air fryer: Assemble and air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway.
