(Cheese & Herb Pinwheels – Quick, Elegant, and Delicious)

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (store-bought, thawed)

  • ½ cup shredded cheese (cheddar, parmesan, or a mix)

  • 1–2 tbsp fresh herbs (like parsley, thyme, chives) or 1 tsp dried herbs

  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

  • Optional: 1–2 tbsp Dijon mustard or pesto for extra flavor


Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. Roll out puff pastry:

    • On a lightly floured surface, unfold the pastry into a rectangle (you can gently roll it to smooth out the folds).

  3. Add filling:

    • Optional: Spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard or pesto.

    • Sprinkle evenly with shredded cheese and herbs.

  4. Roll and slice:

    • Roll the pastry up tightly from the short side (for thicker pinwheels) or the long side (for more, thinner ones).
