🥚 Air Fryer Hard-Boiled Eggs
🔥 Why It Works:
Air fryers cook the eggs with consistent circulating heat, mimicking the effect of boiling but with no pot or water. Easy cleanup and no babysitting required!
🧾 You’ll Need:
-
Eggs (as many as your air fryer can hold in a single layer)
-
An air fryer
-
Bowl of ice water (for cooling after cooking)
⏱️ Instructions:
-
Preheat your air fryer to 270–275°F (135°C) (no worries if your model doesn’t go that low—see tip below).
-
Place eggs in the basket in a single layer (no oil or foil needed).
-
Air fry for:
-
Hard-boiled: 15–17 minutes
-
Medium: 12–13 minutes
-
Soft-boiled: 9–10 minutes
-
-
Transfer immediately to a bowl of ice water for 5–10 minutes. This stops the cooking and makes them easier to peel.
-
Peel and enjoy, or store in the fridge for up to a week.
🧠 Tips:
-
If your air fryer only goes down to 300°F, reduce cook time slightly to avoid overcooking.
-
Use older eggs (5–7 days) for easier peeling.
-
Add a pinch of baking soda to the ice bath to help with peeling (optional but effective).
