Air Fryer Hard-Boiled Eggs

Posted on June 3, 2025
Here’s how to make Air Fryer Hard-Boiled Eggs—no water, no boiling, just set it and forget it! The eggs come out perfectly cooked, easy to peel, and great for snacks, salads, or meal prep.

🥚 Air Fryer Hard-Boiled Eggs

🔥 Why It Works:

Air fryers cook the eggs with consistent circulating heat, mimicking the effect of boiling but with no pot or water. Easy cleanup and no babysitting required!

🧾 You’ll Need:

  • Eggs (as many as your air fryer can hold in a single layer)

  • An air fryer

  • Bowl of ice water (for cooling after cooking)

⏱️ Instructions:

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 270–275°F (135°C) (no worries if your model doesn’t go that low—see tip below).

  2. Place eggs in the basket in a single layer (no oil or foil needed).

  3. Air fry for:

    • Hard-boiled: 15–17 minutes

    • Medium: 12–13 minutes

    • Soft-boiled: 9–10 minutes

  4. Transfer immediately to a bowl of ice water for 5–10 minutes. This stops the cooking and makes them easier to peel.

  5. Peel and enjoy, or store in the fridge for up to a week.

🧠 Tips:

  • If your air fryer only goes down to 300°F, reduce cook time slightly to avoid overcooking.

  • Use older eggs (5–7 days) for easier peeling.

  • Add a pinch of baking soda to the ice bath to help with peeling (optional but effective).
