Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents

Posted on June 1, 2025
Here’s a simple and delicious recipe for Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents — perfect as an appetizer, breakfast bite, or party snack!

Sausage Cream Cheese Crescents

Ingredients:

  • 1 (8 oz) package of crescent roll dough (like Pillsbury)

  • 1/2 pound breakfast sausage (pork, turkey, or spicy — your choice)

  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened

  • Optional: 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • Optional: 1/4 tsp garlic powder or onion powder for extra flavor

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. Cook the sausage in a skillet over medium heat until fully browned. Break it up into small crumbles as it cooks. Drain excess grease if needed.

  3. Combine the cooked sausage with the softened cream cheese (and optional cheddar or seasonings) in a bowl. Mix until well combined.

  4. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles.

  5. Scoop about a tablespoon of the sausage mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.

  6. Roll up each crescent, starting from the wide end toward the point, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

  7. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until golden brown.

  8. Cool slightly before serving. They’re great warm or at room temperature.

Tips:

  • Make them ahead of time and reheat in a 300°F oven for 5–8 minutes.

  • Want a kick? Add a pinch of red pepper flakes or use spicy sausage.

  • Mini version: Use crescent dough sheets, cut into smaller squares, and fold into mini bites.
