🥔 Air Fryer Sliced Potatoes
Ingredients:
-
2 medium potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russet work well)
-
1–2 tbsp olive oil
-
½ tsp salt
-
¼ tsp black pepper
-
½ tsp garlic powder
-
½ tsp paprika (optional, for color and flavor)
-
Optional: fresh herbs (like rosemary, thyme, or parsley), grated Parmesan, or chili flakes
Instructions:
1. Prep the Potatoes:
-
Wash and scrub potatoes (peel if you prefer).
-
Slice into ¼-inch thick rounds using a knife or mandoline for even cooking.
-
Soak slices in cold water for 15–30 minutes to remove excess starch (this helps them get crispier).
-
Drain and pat thoroughly dry with a clean towel.
2. Season:
-
Toss the dry potato slices with olive oil, salt, pepper, and seasonings until evenly coated.
3. Air Fry:
-
Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.
-
Arrange potato slices in a single layer in the air fryer basket (work in batches if needed).
-
Cook for 12–15 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy. Thinner slices may cook faster.
4. Serve:
-
Sprinkle with fresh herbs, Parmesan, or dipping sauce like ranch, garlic aioli, or ketchup.
📝 Tips:
-
For extra crispiness, lightly spray with oil before air frying.
-
Want a smoky twist? Add a dash of smoked paprika or chipotle powder.
-
Sweet potatoes also work well — just reduce cook time slightly.
