Hereโ€™s a nostalgic and delicious Classic Cherry Delight recipe โ€” the kind of creamy, fruity dessert that shows up at family gatherings and never has leftovers. Itโ€™s made with a graham cracker crust, a smooth cream cheese filling, and sweet cherry pie topping. No baking needed!


๐Ÿ’ Classic Cherry Delight

Ingredients:

  • 1ยฝ cups graham cracker crumbs (about 10โ€“12 crackers)

  • ยผ cup granulated sugar

  • ยฝ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

๐Ÿฐ For the Cream Cheese Layer:
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
    (or use 1 cup heavy cream, whipped to stiff peaks)

  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling


Instructions:

1. Make the Crust:

  • In a bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until well combined.

  • Press into the bottom of a 9×9-inch (or 8×8-inch) pan.

  • Chill in the fridge while you prepare the filling (about 15 minutes).

2. Make the Cream Cheese Filling:

  • In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.

  • Add powdered sugar and vanilla, beat until creamy.

  • Fold in whipped topping until fully combined and fluffy.

3. Assemble:

  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chilled crust.

  • Spoon the cherry pie filling over the top, spreading gently.

4. Chill:

  • Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to set.
