🍗 Airfryer Roast Chicken (Whole or Pieces)

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole chicken (2.5–3 lbs / ~1.2–1.5 kg)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp thyme or rosemary
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Optional: Lemon halves, garlic cloves inside cavity

Instructions:

  1. Preheat air fryer to 360°F (180°C) for 5 minutes.
  2. Pat dry the chicken with paper towels.
  3. Mix oil/butter with all spices, then rub it all over the chicken (including under the skin if possible).
  4. Optional: Stuff with lemon and garlic for extra aroma.
  5. Air Fry:
    • Place breast-side down first for 30 minutes.
    • Flip and roast for another 20–25 minutes until golden and internal temp reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Rest 10 minutes before carving.

🔪 Option 2: Chicken Thighs, Drumsticks, or Breast Pieces

Ingredients:

  • 6–8 bone-in, skin-on pieces
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp dried herbs (thyme, oregano, rosemary)
  • Salt & pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  2. Toss chicken pieces in oil and seasoning mix.
  3. Air Fry in a single layer for 20–25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and cooked through.

🍋 Optional Add-Ons:

  • Serve with roasted veggies (carrots, potatoes, onions) cooked in the air fryer afterward.
  • Add a side of garlic yogurt sauce, gravy, or chimichurri.
