Sweet Milk Fudge Squares

Posted on May 23, 2025
Here’s a rich and creamy recipe for Sweet Milk Fudge Squares, also known as a simplified version of traditional Milk Barfi or Leche Fudge — smooth, milky, and melt-in-your-mouth sweet treats.

🍬 Sweet Milk Fudge Squares

🕒 Total Time: 25–30 minutes + chilling

Makes: About 16 small squares

📝 Ingredients

  • 1 can (14 oz / 400g) sweetened condensed milk

  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) whole milk

  • 1/4 cup (60g) unsalted butter

  • 1/2 cup (60g) milk powder

  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

  • Optional: Crushed pistachios, almonds, or coconut for topping

🔥 Instructions

1. Prepare Pan

  • Line a small square baking dish (6×6 or 8×8 inches) with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

2. Cook the Fudge Base

  • In a nonstick pan over medium heat, combine sweetened condensed milk, whole milk, butter, and milk powder.

  • Stir continuously to avoid sticking or burning.

  • Cook for about 10–15 minutes, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens significantly and starts pulling away from the sides. It should form a soft dough-like consistency.

3. Add Flavor

  • Stir in vanilla and a pinch of salt. Mix well.

4. Set the Fudge

  • Immediately pour the mixture into the prepared pan. Smooth the top with a spatula.

  • Optional: Sprinkle with chopped nuts or coconut while still warm.

5. Cool and Cut

  • Let it cool at room temperature, then chill in the fridge for about 1–2 hours until firm.

  • Cut into small squares.

🍴 Serving Tips

  • Serve slightly chilled or at room temperature.

  • Store in an airtight container for up to 1 week in the fridge.
