air fryer ham and cheese

Posted on May 22, 2025
Here’s a super quick and satisfying recipe for a Ham and Cheese Melt made in the air fryer β€” golden, melty, and ready in minutes! Great for a snack, breakfast, or easy lunch.

πŸ§€ Air Fryer Ham and Cheese (Melt or Sandwich Style)

🍽️ Servings: 1–2

⏱️ Total Time: 10–12 minutes

πŸ§‚ Ingredients:

  • 2 slices of bread (or croissant, wrap, or puff pastry if preferred)

  • 2–3 slices of ham

  • 1–2 slices of cheese (Swiss, cheddar, mozzarella, or your favorite)

  • Butter or mayo (for spreading on bread)

  • Optional: Dijon mustard, tomato slices, or spinach for extra flavor

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³ Instructions:

1. Assemble the sandwich:

  • Lightly butter or mayo the outside of each slice of bread (for a golden crust).

  • On the inside, layer cheese, ham, and any extras (mustard, tomato, etc.).

  • Top with the second slice of bread.

2. Air Fry:

  • Preheat air fryer to 375Β°F (190Β°C) for 2–3 minutes.

  • Place sandwich in the basket (cheese side up if open-faced).

  • Air fry for 4–6 minutes, flipping halfway, until bread is golden and cheese is melted.

⚠️ Tip: Use parchment paper or a trivet to prevent cheese from dripping.

πŸŒ€ Variations:

  • Puff Pastry Version: Wrap ham and cheese in puff pastry squares, seal edges, and air fry at 375Β°F for 10–12 min.

  • Croissant Ham & Cheese: Use halved croissants and air fry for 3–5 min until warm and crispy.

  • Low-carb: Use low-carb wraps or lettuce leaves for a keto-friendly version.
