Here’s a simple, elegant, and flavorful recipe for Shrimp Linguine—perfect for a quick dinner that feels like a treat. It combines tender shrimp, garlic, white wine (or lemon), and linguine in a light yet luscious sauce.

🍤 Shrimp Linguine

🍽️ Servings: 4

⏱️ Total Time: ~25 minutes

🧂 Ingredients:

  • 8 oz (225 g) linguine pasta

  • 1 lb (450 g) shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 3–4 garlic cloves, minced

  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)

  • ½ cup dry white wine (or chicken broth or lemon juice)

  • Zest and juice of 1 lemon

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

  • Grated Parmesan (optional, for serving)

👨‍🍳 Instructions:

1. Cook the Pasta:

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

  • Cook linguine until al dente according to package directions.

  • Reserve ½ cup of pasta water, then drain.

2. Sauté the Shrimp:

  • While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Add shrimp in a single layer, season with salt and pepper.

  • Cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.

3. Make the Sauce:

  • In the same skillet, add garlic and red pepper flakes (if using). Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.

  • Pour in white wine (or broth/lemon juice), scraping up any browned bits from the pan.

  • Simmer for 2–3 minutes to reduce slightly.

  • Stir in lemon juice, zest, and butter. Season with salt and pepper.

4. Toss It All Together:

  • Return shrimp to the skillet.

  • Add cooked linguine and a splash of reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce.

  • Toss to coat everything evenly and heat through.

5. Serve:

  • Garnish with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan (if desired).

  • Serve with lemon wedges and crusty bread for a complete meal.

🌀 Variations:

  • Add cherry tomatoes, spinach, or mushrooms for extra veggies.

  • Make it creamy by adding ¼ cup of heavy cream after deglazing.

  • Swap linguine for spaghetti, fettuccine, or a gluten-free pasta.
