Here’s a simple, crowd-pleasing recipe for Sausage and Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls — a buttery, flaky appetizer or breakfast bite that’s perfect for parties, holidays, or quick snacks. With only a few ingredients, they’re easy to make and always a hit!


🥐 Sausage and Cream Cheese Crescent Rolls

🔥 Cook Time: 15–18 minutes
🍽️ Makes: 16 rolls


🧾 Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) breakfast sausage (mild or spicy, your choice)

  • 1 (8 oz) block cream cheese, softened

  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough (8-count each)

  • Optional: 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 1/4 tsp black pepper, chopped chives or green onion


👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Cook the Sausage

  • In a skillet over medium heat, crumble and cook the sausage until browned and fully cooked.

  • Drain excess fat and let cool slightly.

2. Mix the Filling

  • In a bowl, combine cooked sausage and softened cream cheese.

  • Add garlic powder, pepper, or green onion if using. Mix until smooth and creamy.

3. Prepare the Dough

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

  • Unroll crescent dough and separate into individual triangles.

4. Fill and Roll

  • Place 1 heaping tablespoon of the sausage mixture at the wide end of each crescent triangle.

  • Roll up, starting from the wide end toward the tip.

  • Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

5. Bake

  • Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.


🧂 Optional Finishing Touches

  • Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning or parmesan.

  • Serve with hot sauce, ranch, or honey mustard on the side.


🧊 Make Ahead / Storage Tips

  • Make ahead: Prepare and refrigerate unbaked rolls up to 24 hours in advance.

  • Freeze: Baked rolls freeze well. Reheat at 350°F for 10 minutes.
