🔥 Basic Tandoori Chicken Recipe
Ingredients:

1 kg chicken (bone-in, skinless, cut into pieces)

1 cup plain yogurt

2 tbsp lemon juice

1.5 tbsp ginger-garlic paste

2 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder (for color, not heat)

1 tsp turmeric
-
1 tsp ground cumin
-
1 tsp garam masala
-
1 tsp ground coriander
-
2 tbsp vegetable oil
-
Salt to taste

Optional: red/orange food coloring for that signature look
Instructions:

Prep Chicken: Make deep slits in the chicken pieces to help the marinade penetrate.

Marinate:

Mix all ingredients (except chicken) into a smooth marinade.

Coat the chicken thoroughly. Let it marinate at least 6 hours, preferably overnight in the fridge.

Cook:

Oven: Preheat to 220°C (425°F). Bake on a rack over a tray for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway.

Grill: Grill over medium-high heat until charred and cooked through.

Pan: Sear on high heat, then lower flame and cook through with lid on.

Garnish with onion rings, lemon wedges, and fresh coriander.
