Here’s a classic and creamy Deli-Style Chicken Salad recipe — just like your favorite grocery store or sandwich shop, perfect for wraps, sandwiches, or lettuce cups.


🥪 Deli-Style Chicken Salad

Ingredients (Serves 4):

  • 2–3 cups cooked chicken, chopped or shredded (rotisserie chicken works great)

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise (adjust to your creaminess preference)

  • 1–2 stalks celery, finely chopped

  • 2 tbsp red onion or green onion, finely chopped

  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional for tang)

  • 1 tsp lemon juice or apple cider vinegar

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Optional: 1 tsp fresh dill or parsley, 1 hard-boiled egg (chopped), or 1/4 cup chopped pickles/sweet relish


Instructions:

  1. Prep ingredients:

    • Finely chop celery, onion, and any optional add-ins (like pickles or herbs).

  2. Mix the base:

    • In a large bowl, combine mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, and lemon juice/vinegar.

    • Stir in salt and pepper to taste.

  3. Add chicken:

    • Fold in the chicken and chopped veggies until well coated.

    • Chill for at least 30 minutes to let flavors meld (optional but highly recommended).

  4. Serve:

    • Scoop onto croissants, sandwich bread, crackers, or into lettuce wraps for a low-carb option.
