Classic Ambrosia Salad
Ingredients:

1 can (15 oz) mandarin oranges, drained

1 can (20 oz) pineapple chunks or tidbits, drained

1 cup mini marshmallows

1 cup sweetened shredded coconut

1 1/2 cups sour cream or whipped topping (like Cool Whip, or a mix of both)

1/2 cup chopped maraschino cherries, drained and patted dry

1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

1–2 bananas, sliced (optional, best added just before serving)
Instructions:

Mix the base:

In a large bowl, gently stir together sour cream (or whipped topping), coconut, and mini marshmallows.

Gently fold in mandarin oranges, pineapple, cherries, and nuts if using.

Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (or overnight) to let the flavors meld and marshmallows soften.
