🍎 Easy Apple Dumplings
Ingredients:
-
2 large apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp work best)
-
2 (8 oz) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
-
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
-
1 cup granulated sugar
-
1 tsp cinnamon
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
-
1 can (12 oz) lemon-lime soda (like Sprite or 7-Up)
Instructions:
-
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
-
Peel, core, and slice apples into 8 wedges each (16 wedges total).
-
Wrap each apple slice in a crescent roll triangle and place in the baking dish.
-
In a saucepan, melt the butter. Stir in sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla. Pour this mixture over the wrapped apples.
-
Pour the soda around the edges (not on top of the dough) of the dumplings.
-
Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until golden brown and bubbly.
🍨 Serving Tip:
Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce.
