Classic Cherry Delight is a beloved no-bake dessert known for its creamy, tangy layers and sweet cherry topping. Here’s a classic recipe to make it:

🍒 Classic Cherry Delight Recipe

Ingredients

For the crust:

  • 1½ cups graham cracker crumbs

  • ⅓ cup sugar

  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

For the filling:

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 1 cup powdered sugar

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 (8 oz) tub whipped topping (like Cool Whip)

For the topping:

  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust:

    • In a medium bowl, mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until well combined.

    • Press mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×9-inch baking dish (or an 8×8 for thicker layers).

    • Chill in the fridge for about 15–20 minutes to set.

  2. Make the filling:

    • In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.

    • Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract; beat until fully incorporated.

    • Fold in the whipped topping gently until no streaks remain.

  3. Assemble:

    • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the chilled crust.

    • Spoon cherry pie filling evenly over the top.

  4. Chill:

    • Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to let the dessert set properly.

  5. Serve:

    • Slice and serve chilled. Optional: garnish with extra whipped cream or graham cracker crumbs.

Would you like a version of this that’s lighter, gluten-free, or made from scratch (including the cherry topping)?
