Loaded Air Fryer Potato Fritters

Here’s a delicious and crispy recipe for Loaded Air Fryer Potato Fritters — perfect as a snack, appetizer, or side dish!


🥔 Loaded Air Fryer Potato Fritters

Servings: 10–12 fritters
Time: 15 min prep | 15 min cook

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups shredded potatoes (Russet or Yukon Gold work best)

  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • ¼ cup cooked and crumbled bacon (or real bacon bits)

  • ¼ cup chopped green onions

  • 1 egg, beaten

  • ¼ cup flour (or use breadcrumbs for more texture)

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • Salt & pepper to taste

  • Cooking spray or a little oil

Optional Toppings:

  • Sour cream

  • Extra cheese

  • Chives

  • Hot sauce


Instructions:

  1. Prep the Potatoes:

    • If using fresh potatoes, shred and then squeeze out excess moisture using a clean kitchen towel or cheesecloth.

    • Place into a mixing bowl.

  2. Mix the Fritter Batter:

    • Add cheese, bacon, green onions, egg, flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper to the shredded potatoes.

    • Mix until everything is well combined and holds together when pressed.

  3. Form the Fritters:

    • Scoop about 2 tablespoons of the mixture and form into patties or small discs.

  4. Air Fry:

    • Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3–5 minutes.

    • Lightly spray the basket with oil.

    • Place fritters in a single layer (work in batches if needed), spray tops lightly with oil.

    • Cook for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.

  5. Serve:

    • Top with sour cream, more bacon, cheese, or your favorite toppings. Serve hot!
