For the Meatballs:

1 small onion, finely grated or minced

For the Gravy:

2 tbsp flour

2 cups beef broth

1/2 cup heavy cream or sour cream

8 oz egg noodles (cooked and drained)

1. Make the Meatballs:

In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and milk; let sit for 5 minutes.

In a larger bowl, mix the ground meat, soaked breadcrumbs, grated onion, egg, and seasonings until just combined.

Roll into 1-inch balls.
2. Cook the Meatballs:

Heat a large skillet over medium heat with a splash of oil.

Brown meatballs on all sides (they don’t need to cook through).

Remove and set aside.
3. Make the Gravy:

In the same pan, melt the butter and whisk in flour to form a roux.

Slowly add beef broth, whisking constantly to prevent lumps.

Stir in cream, Worcestershire sauce (if using), and season to taste.

Simmer until slightly thickened.
4. Finish the Dish:

Return meatballs to the gravy and simmer for 10–15 minutes, or until fully cooked.

Meanwhile, cook the noodles according to package instructions.
