Soak cloves in warm water and drink the water

Posted on April 27, 2025
Yes! Soaking cloves in warm water and drinking the water is a traditional remedy that’s been used for centuries — especially for inflammation, digestion, and even pain relief.

Clove Water Benefits (Soaked Clove in Warm Water)

Cloves are rich in eugenol, a natural compound with anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and antimicrobial properties.

 How to Make It:

  1. Soak 4–5 whole cloves in a cup of warm water.

  2. Let it sit for 10–15 minutes (or even overnight for a stronger effect).

  3. Drink it warm, preferably on an empty stomach in the morning.

 Possible Benefits for:

  • Arthritis & Rheumatism: May help reduce joint inflammation

  • Leg Pain: Can improve circulation slightly and reduce discomfort

  • Digestion: Helps with bloating, gas, and nausea

  • Immunity: Cloves are antimicrobial and rich in antioxidants

It’s safe for most people in small amounts, but not recommended in excess (especially for those with bleeding disorders or on blood thinners).

Want a stronger version, like a clove tea with ginger or cinnamon added in?
