Crispy & Flaky Air Fryer Salmon Bites
Ingredients:
-
1 lb salmon fillet, skinless, cut into 1-inch cubes
-
1 tbsp olive oil (or avocado oil)
-
1 tsp garlic powder
-
1 tsp paprika
-
½ tsp onion powder
-
½ tsp smoked paprika (optional for a smoky kick)
-
Salt and pepper to taste
-
1 tbsp lemon juice
-
Optional: 1–2 tsp cornstarch for extra crispiness
Optional Garnishes:
-
Lemon wedges
-
Chopped parsley or green onion
-
A drizzle of spicy mayo or garlic aioli
Instructions:
-
Prep the Salmon
Pat salmon pieces dry with a paper towel. This helps them crisp up better. -
Season
In a bowl, toss the salmon bites with olive oil, lemon juice, garlic powder, paprika, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. For even more crunch, add 1–2 tsp of cornstarch and toss until evenly coated. -
Air Fry
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 2–3 minutes.
Arrange salmon bites in a single layer in the basket (don’t overcrowd).
Cook for 7–10 minutes, shaking halfway through. Time may vary slightly based on your air fryer model and salmon thickness — bites should be golden and crisp on the edges, and flake easily with a fork. -
Serve
Garnish with lemon wedges and herbs. Serve over rice, in tacos, with salad, or enjoy them as-is!
Tips:
-
Want a sauce? Try dipping in sriracha mayo, honey garlic, or tzatziki.
-
Meal prep tip: These store well in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat beautifully in the air fryer (about 3 minutes at 350°F).
-
You can use frozen salmon too — just make sure it’s fully thawed and patted dry.
