Gotcha! Here’s a go-to recipe for clearing out a cough and soothing irritated airways. It’s kind of like a natural remedy that combines soothing ingredients to help with throat irritation and congestion:

Soothing Honey Lemon Ginger Tea

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon raw honey (has antibacterial and soothing properties)

  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice (helps break down mucus)

  • 1/2-inch fresh ginger root (anti-inflammatory and helps clear the throat)

  • Hot water (helps loosen up congestion)

  • A pinch of cayenne pepper (optional, helps thin mucus)

Instructions:

  1. Boil water: Start by boiling about 1-2 cups of water.

  2. Prepare the ginger: Slice the ginger into thin pieces or grate it. Add it to the hot water to steep for 5-10 minutes.

  3. Add honey and lemon: Once the water has cooled a bit (so it’s not scalding), stir in the honey and lemon juice. The honey soothes your throat, while lemon helps clear mucus.

  4. Optional boost: Add a pinch of cayenne pepper if you want some extra heat to loosen congestion (this is optional, but it works for some people!).

  5. Sip slowly and feel it work its magic.

This combination helps with throat irritation, loosens mucus, and can help quiet down a cough. You can drink it 2-3 times a day.
